Sixty Second Sunday Song review! Part 1

It seems incredible that my songwriting project is really almost at an end!  The time has come when I seriously need your assistance picking from the 50 (soon to be 52!) songs to select the ones that will go on my upcoming CD.  To help you in making your choices, I will be reposting all of the songs to this point over the next two weeks, in groups of 5.  Here is the first set . . . enjoy!

#1 - "Very Best" (partial)

#2 - "Toothbrush Dance"

#3 - "Under the Trees"

#4 - "Captain Handkerchief"

#5 - "Still Learning"

If you suggest 5 songs and I put them all on the CD, you will win a free copy of the finished product! Find out more here about the Sixty Second Sunday Song Superfecta!

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

The campaign to fund the new CD launches on RocketHub TODAY!  Would you consider being a part of the production by making a contribution?  Here's the link:

Thanks for reading, and please come back tomorrow to continue the review of the Sixty Second Songs!

SSSS #50 - "The Race"

The campaign to fund my new CD launches TOMORROW!  Come back for more details in 24 hours!

SSSS #47 - "Babies"

Babies don't use words to communicate, and neither does this song!  Also, they are both short.  :)

SSSS #43 - "Fred!"

My nephew turns 3 this week!  And the number of this song in the Sunday Songs project is the sum of his (new) age plus MY age!  Coincidence?  (yes)

Help me choose the songs for my new CD! And maybe win a copy of the finished product!

Now that the SSSS project is drawing to a close, I need YOUR help to choose the songs that will make it onto my next CD!  And your input can win you a copy of the CD once it is available (projected November 2013)!

It's the SIXTY SECOND SUNDAY SONG SUPERFECTA!!!!!

Here's what you need to do:
1) watch/listen to all the Sixty Second Sunday Songs
2) make a list of the five songs you most want to be included on the CD
3) e-mail me at misslynnsings [at] gmail [dot] com and tell me the five songs you picked
If all five of your songs make it onto the final CD, you will win a copy of it for your very own!  Song #52 will be posted on July 28, 2013.  Entries must be submitted by August 10, 2013.  Start listening to all the songs now so you can start making your selections!

WILL THE DONUT STORES WIN?

Only three more days of the tour, and the current totals stand at:

12.3 miles run / 7 doughnut stores visited

Looks like I will reach my goal!  (Unless I find a LOT of awesome doughnut stores in Ohio this weekend!)

Farewell, Keystone State . . . Aloha, Ohio!

Departing from PA today with some sadness, but gladly anticipating my return to the Buckeye State!  I smell doughnuts in my future!  :)

THE DONUT STORES WERE ALMOST WINNING!

after my sojourn in NYC (+2 doughnut stores and +0 running), the numbers were 6 d.s. and 6.9 miles run.  But I just squeezed another 1.4 miles into my schedule, bringing the new totals to:

6 doughnut stores / 8.3 miles run

And it's a good thing, too, since I have some exciting doughnut-related plans for the latter part of this week!  I'll need to work some more miles in there, too.
At the Kindiefest conference...just finished the first panel. It was terrific! Looking forward to connecting with more folks who love making music for kids.

Every day is Friday when you're Miss Lynn

In spite of being on a Wednesday, I had an exceptional doughnut date with an exceptional friend at the exceptional Doughnut Plant in Manhattan yesterday.  What a treat!  If you find yourself in NYC, please visit the location at the Chelsea Hotel to experience the tastiness of their treats and the fabulous doughnut-themed decor.  Outstanding.

Current miles v. doughnut store tally:  6.9 v. 5 (but tomorrow is Friday again . . . )  :)
Covering five states today on Spring Tour 2013! Thanks for the hospitality (and dry roads) Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey!

SSSS #38 - "Carista"

I am currently on tour of the northeastern U.S., so this week's song was both written and recorded behind the wheel.

It's important to have goals

My goal for Spring Tour 2013 is to log more miles run than donut stores visited.  Seven days in, the two totals are neck-and-neck . . . 3.1 vs. 3.  :)
I just had an outstanding idea! How about if I do a tour of America's donut stores, and I can call it, "The HOLE Country"? Should I start planning it for 2014?

SSSS #29 - "Beautifully"

I wasn't super happy with the quality of the audio or my diction in this week's song, so I added captions!

SSSS #28 - "Ice Cream Sunrise"

This song is dedicated to all my friends out in Knox County, Tennessee, for whom I happily watch the sun rise as I'm driving eastward to sing for you on Saturday mornings!  Most especially my dear friends Kelley and Lily--thanks for all the support!  :)

SSSS #27 - "What a Week!"

What this song really needs is a full orchestra, or at least a string section.  But I don't have one of those, so I went in the opposite direction as far as instrumentation.
